The picture above was taken 4 years ago. I remember going there as a child with my parents. Pumps are gone, general store turned to dust.

Same town, but for some reason this calender was never used and hung in my Grandparents hallway until I took it down 4 years ago. I am thinking my Grandfather (Named Ace BTW) just liked the picture.
This calendar now hangs in my home office.

ReplyDeleteI worked at a station like that when I was a kid. Washed the windshield, checked the oil, add gas at fifty cents a gallon (1955ish). Brings back some fond memories. Thanks for posting this.
