Colt .22 Peacemaker Update

In a previous post I commented on my efforts with a little Colt .22 Peacemaker. I HAD to go shoot it today as soon as I got out of work. How is it? Well it seems that once you figure it out life is good.

It took some rounds to warm up to the pistol, but its a great one! Sadly I will return to its owner after another light cleaning.

So the question for tonight for all my long gun friends is this. I need to step up my game in this area. A friend recommended this:
Colt LE6940 Review What say you? Any comments welcome!

  1. Just my humble opinion, but I'm taken with the Colt HBAR...if you can find one.

  2. There's something special about single action 22lr revolvers to me.

As for the rifle question. The serious side of me wants to say looks good if you've got the budget for it, the flippant part of me wants to refer you to this:

  3. Or you could go retro and try a Colt open top.
Either the original BP or the conversion.

  4. Stephen- I will look into it. Thanks!

Odysses- Me too. I love the little SA .22's. There is one I will never see again hat holds great meaning to me. I have the box for it.

As to your flippant side, I LOL'ed!

KurtP- I stand in awe! I will turn in my Colt Collectors Association name tag now! LOL!
