Photos...
Many people ask me about the photos on my blog. Not in a nice way. They ask if I am taking them with a Kodak Instamatic or Brownie. They may be right. So I attempted to stage a couple of photos and messed with lighting. Result? Photos still are underwhelming.

ReplyDelete@ NFO- True that! I do want to capture the handguns in pictures though! I will never be as capable a photographer as Oleg Volk. I don't want to be either. I DO want to give Handguns such as this one the justice it is due however!

You need to let me do some for you. There is no reason for you to buy a $700 camera to take pictures for your blog. Now all we have to do is figure out how both of us can be in the same place at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe reason there is a big difference in your two shots is because the point-n-shoot was messing with the white balance. The first image has more white in it, so the camera's guess was probably closer to reality. If you make sure there is some good contrast in the shot, the camera has an easier time figuring out the white balance.
A little higher resolution would help. Some indirect lighting. A little post-processing adjusting contrast and gamma. You are not too far off.
ReplyDeleteNatural indirect light can be great. Work near an open window instead of shining lights on the subject.
