So after taking the Enfield to Mr. and Mrs. Curmudgeons house as noted in this Blog post, I get an Email tonight from Mr. Curmudgeon. Says he found some ammo for it.
Um, yeah. We are not shooting this stuff! There are collectors believe it or not that would love to have this stuff.
So remember this Basic Pistol student? She has stepped up to the plate. I get to work with her this Sunday. Wish me luck, this is important!
Another Padawan for the Jedi Master. Good work Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Six! We shall see how it goes Sunday.
DeleteJust as well you didn't shoot it. .303 Savage and .303 Enfield are two different cartridges. .303 Savage has a shorter case and would probably chamber and with its .308 rather than Enfield's .311 bullet it would likely shoot but probably not a good thing.
ReplyDeleteBetter to keep it as collector ammo.
Thanks Aaron. I am not a long gun expert by no means. Hell, not even a handgun one either come to think about it!
DeleteSweet.
ReplyDeleteYou can net serious cash with original ammo in original boxes like that.
I always thought it was kinda strange. Like collecting Jack Daniel's bottles and not drinking them.
Aaron beat me to it, and yes, those ARE collectors items! Good luck with the lady shooter! Patience my friend! And if you have a camera on your phone, taking a video of her will let her 'see' what she's actually doing wrong.
