John Newland directed the first season Star Trek TOS episode "Errand of Mercy." He was also known for another little TV series. Filming began the week of NASA test AS-204, resulting in the death of three Astronauts. 185K budget, six days for filming. At the studios owned by Lucille Ball.

DeleteOne of my all time favorite shows. The wonderful daughter bought me the complete series on dvd a few years back. I think that I was in second grade when it first aired. Some episodes scared the hell out of me back then. Gettin' old............................
