If the only thing you can say about a relationship with another human is that you lament the loss of this creature, then truly the relationship was doomed.
Her name was Wasabi. A noble creature and we "clicked". She stayed with me during the awkward time when things were breaking up, yet she supposedly belonged to the other person. I still miss her. I remember the four legs sticking out from under the futon. She injured herself on a hind leg with a rock and although cut deeply she let me attend to the wound. She would patrol the perimeter of the house and report back "all clear" with a sigh as she layed back down late at night.
Perhaps it is time to find another four legged companion?
Absolutely.
ReplyDeletePets are wonderful companions. Go to your local shelter and see if you "click" with anyone there. Rescuing a pet is very rewarding and you'll gain a friend for life.
ReplyDeleteGo for it!
You cannot go wrong with a dog... Unconditional love, given unconditionally is worth it's weight in gold.
ReplyDeleteawwww, there's always room in one's heart for a 4 legged companion.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely find another companion! A house just isn't a home without at least one four-legged member.
ReplyDeleteI am partial to Pitts, Rotties and Danes. Currently, we have a Pittie and an elderly Dane.
And a couple of cats. Those are alright, too. ;)
Hmmm! New flooring and a dog to train could get pretty interesting (I have 2 dogs if you want to borrow those for practice) My cat just came by me and gave me a kiss on the cheek (Maybe that's what you need)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't allowed quadrapeds as a child - my dad's stuff.
ReplyDeleteSo, when I acquired what was eventually 2 dogs and 3 cats as an adult, and they went away, it about killed me.
I'm almost ready.
If you think you are, you are.
gfa
You won't regret it. When I got Barkley I wasn't traveling so much. That's been the only issue, but thanks to friends he's only had to go the kennel a couple of times, and then one very warm in it's environment with lots of play time outdoors.
ReplyDeleteShe reminds me of The Queen's and my youngest dog, Numbnutt. Very sweet disposition, loyal, happy and a keen intelligence. Personally, I don't think life is worth living without the love of a furry companion at your side. Come to think of it, I've only be without animal companionship for about 1 year total out of my entire life.
ReplyDeleteThanks everybody! I need to do this!
