LOL! So for this bathroom:
We now have this:
Work has begun on the war against the evil lurking in the carpet (dust mites).
Yay!! So, that yellow stuff is like a vapor barrier?
ReplyDeleteI never had allergies before but I seem to have developed them as I've gotten older. There's so much tree-pollen around here it's nuts - back in the 70's around here they planted ALL kinds of exotic flowering trees, and they all belch a ton of pollen.
@ DirtCrashr- No, believe it or not that is the padding for the carpet. Just pulled it out. It is the worse offender!
ReplyDeleteI was never allergic to anything either. Go figure!
The new tiles are gorgeous. I am looking forward to the after pics. I wasn't allergic to anything either until I packed up my mom's house and move her down here.
ReplyDelete@ Supi- Thanks! I do not have an interior decorator so I am left to my own designs. Considering I would be happy with concrete with a floor drain for hosing down, picking colors and such is a bit of a stretch for me.
ReplyDeleteAllergies are funny huh?
You'll be HAPPY to get rid of that carpet, trust me... and tile is MUCH easier to maintain!
ReplyDelete@ NFO- The carpet is now on the front porch! So is the padding. And the staples and tack strips. REALLY disgusting stuff!
ReplyDeleteComing to a home near me....my home in fact. I just had my allergies tested and besides being allergic to almost everything possible outside, the dustmites and doggy stuff is killing me inside.
ReplyDeleteI hope yours improves.
OMG get rid of the padding, it's just an apartment-complex for the mites! Get out the bleach and spray!
ReplyDelete@ Matt- Same thing happened to me when I moved into this house. I hope yours improves too. Taking the shots yet?
ReplyDelete@ DirtCrashr- I got the padding, staples and tack strips up last night. You are right, that stuff was disgusting!
@Keads Yep just started last week, although this is the third series I've had. one as a child, two as a 20 something, and now the third as an over-the-hill-kinda-old-fart at 43. I've been given the green light to start on our place, but "someone" has the heaviest darn bedroom set known to man.
ReplyDelete@ Matt- Good luck with the furniture! That's gonna hurt!
