Blog comment of the week!

Remember this?

Comment from that post- "Kill the carpet!! Kill it!! The color is strength-sucking and hideous, besides the evil it harbors." - DirtCrashr

LOL! So for this bathroom:

 We now have this:

Work has begun on the war against the evil lurking in the carpet (dust mites).

  1. Yay!! So, that yellow stuff is like a vapor barrier?
I never had allergies before but I seem to have developed them as I've gotten older. There's so much tree-pollen around here it's nuts - back in the 70's around here they planted ALL kinds of exotic flowering trees, and they all belch a ton of pollen.

  2. @ DirtCrashr- No, believe it or not that is the padding for the carpet. Just pulled it out. It is the worse offender!

I was never allergic to anything either. Go figure!

  3. The new tiles are gorgeous. I am looking forward to the after pics. I wasn't allergic to anything either until I packed up my mom's house and move her down here.

  4. @ Supi- Thanks! I do not have an interior decorator so I am left to my own designs. Considering I would be happy with concrete with a floor drain for hosing down, picking colors and such is a bit of a stretch for me.

    Allergies are funny huh?

  6. @ NFO- The carpet is now on the front porch! So is the padding. And the staples and tack strips. REALLY disgusting stuff!

  7. Coming to a home near me....my home in fact. I just had my allergies tested and besides being allergic to almost everything possible outside, the dustmites and doggy stuff is killing me inside.

    I hope yours improves.

  8. OMG get rid of the padding, it's just an apartment-complex for the mites! Get out the bleach and spray!

  9. @ Matt- Same thing happened to me when I moved into this house. I hope yours improves too. Taking the shots yet?

@ DirtCrashr- I got the padding, staples and tack strips up last night. You are right, that stuff was disgusting!

  10. @Keads Yep just started last week, although this is the third series I've had. one as a child, two as a 20 something, and now the third as an over-the-hill-kinda-old-fart at 43. I've been given the green light to start on our place, but "someone" has the heaviest darn bedroom set known to man.
