So many books. So little time. My friend has written a book. I know her to be a talented writer. She can pull you in and make you feel as if you were there with her. She can pull emotions from you like she was simply changing a light bulb.
She writes of life. Its glorious triumphs and smoking crater defeats. Yet there is a noble creature on four paws that intruded into her life. Was she a better person because of the four pawed intrusion? That is a question I think will be answered here.
I have hesitated to read this book as a dog wandered into my life some time ago as a wife's dog when we met. I loved this dog and when the awkward time came when the divorce was going down and my wife and I lived in separate rooms this creature came to me. Wasabi snuck into my life. On four paws as they always do it seems.
I can't wait to read this book!
Go get it here. Or on amazon.
It's good. It's VERY good. And I just received two copies we'll give to our daughters for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Shepard!
DeleteI should says that I bought those copies from Amazon.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's the problem. Some of us know we will cry when we read this.
ReplyDeleteYou are right PH!
DeleteThank you so much Kelly. For what it's worth, I cried buckets as I wrote it. I also laughed until I snorted coffee out of my nose at least once or twice. Such were the memories of Barkley. I wish Big Bro had lived long enough to see it in print, but he did get to read much of the manuscript, and that meant the world to me.
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks.
No, it is I needing to thank you. Your talent shines. Thanks for sharing your stories with us.
DeleteIt's a wonderful book.
ReplyDeleteMy wife was bawling towards the end, and I get the sniffles more than once myself.
I have started it and look forward to completing it.
DeleteIt's a great read. And life lessons abound...
ReplyDeleteI would not expect any less from the esteemed storyteller.
