Smith and Wesson Highway Patrolman

Otherwise known as the Model 28-2.

Shhhh.... She's soaking in it!

Break Free that is! Will reassemble and go shoot this weekend with a full write up as well. Waiting on the Standard Catalog of S&W too for reference. Heaven forbid I get anything wrong about this gun! Tam would be all over me if I did that!

She's not real pretty, but in good shape (uh, the pistol, not Tam. I assume she is all sweetness and light)!

  2. I recently sold one in mint condition, in its blue box. Then again I'm known for doing such stupid things....

TJ- I will let you know how it goes!

Stephen- You run across ANY S&W and Colt's in the box, please let me know!

  4. All these S&Ws are going to make me cry about selling one of mine when I was young and stupid.

  5. 45er- I will forgive anyone that says "young and stupid". The fact that you are still here proves you got over it.

Still though, I kick myself for letting some things go during that period!

  9. Bringing ANY old gun back is worth it, even if it IS a S&W :-)

  10. Good looking wheel gun. I've seen a bunch available on different sites this past two weeks. Must have been a fairly large department trade in somewhere.

NFO- Sigh... What am I going to do with you? LOL!

John- This one appears to be from '78.
