Record Gun Sales

For the past two months in a row! CNN article:"

Good news!

In the same article a bit of delusion as well: "The research we've seen indicates fewer and fewer people are owning more and more guns," said Caroline Brewer of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. "All the trends indicate the number of Americans who own guns has declined."

Uh, right.

  1. Chuckle...if they repeat it enough even they will believe it.

  2. All trends except the actual surveys showing gun ownership more prevalent than it has been since the 50's.

  3. Hm. Article I read said that because gun ownership, particularly among women, has become more acceptable, MORE people own guns.

  4. I read the same article and I know from personal experience that women who have never owned guns are buying them now.

  5. Yep, I've seen the same thing that DR has.
And *I* taught a bunch of them to shoot!

  6. It's silly to argue with morons. If the numbers added up to what they said, current gun owners would all need a huge vault to contain the amount of guns being sold. That said, there's nothing wrong with wanting a huge vault-full of firearms. :)

  7. If the Brady's crack research team--all two of them--are doing the polling and asking "Do you own a gun?" what's the likelihood of a gun owner telling them "No" just to get them to leave him or her the heck alone?

Otherwise, I gotta agree with 45er.

  8. I don't know who bought them all, but my favorite gun shop was pretty much sold out of popular guns, and in Texas it's lever actions and the black stuff.
The pistol shelves looked a little bare, too.

The place I went to get the wimmin-folk their Christmas certs for basic pistol said it would be about a month if I ordered an M-1 carbine.

Because of the Christmas buying and the best gun salesman of the century occupying 1600 Penn. Ave.
