This is Coming Here!

And I blame this guy =) That is my story and I am sticking with it. A Colt Python in royal blue with a 4" barrel. The grips are not correct, but hopefully that will be rectified shortly after the revolver gets here. The Python has been called the "Lamborghini" of revolvers. Too expensive to manufacture now. We shall see.

NFO, you need to shoot this thing!

More info.

  1. Just be sure that when you get it, you send it out to a reputable smith to make the cylinder turn the correct direction. I recommend the Smith and Wesson Custom Shop. ;-)

Enjoy it and bring it here when you come.

    2. I found some grips around here but they are beat up and fit nothing I have. Plus they have the silver medallions on them. Sigh....

  4. I own its progenitor a Colt Model 357 circa 1955 and sweet as can be after a rebuild by the Colt custom Shop. Somewhere along the way it ended up with a drug dealer who abused the heck out of it. It became mine by way of a state police evidence auction. It also has the COLT DA/SA trigger pull that dreams were made from...

  5. Wonder how much it would cost to correct the cylinder rotation direction and install a proper S&W cylinder release? ;-)

  6. The latest episode of "Midway's Gun Stories" on the Outdoor Channel was about the Python. They lauded it to the heavens as one of the finest revolvers ever made.

  7. I carried it's half-brother, a Colt Trooper Mark III for about ten years before they switched us to S&W Mod 10's. Almost the same gun but without the vented bbl. Still got a set of grips for it I think and I'm pretty sure the frame is the same as the Python. If ya want 'em, lemme know.
