Hard to believe that the restoration of this one owner ride was over 25 years ago. Part of my problem is that it looks really new, but is not. In fact the car has spent more time in this condition than factory.
The tires are old. Rear main oil seal is toast and the '94 has this annoying habit now of converting you from "riding" to "walking".
No matter, one thing at a time. I could not find Goodyears anymore in the correct size.
My fault actually. Got scared to drive it on these tires. New shoes are on the way! The history of this car deserves at least that.
Oh, you have GOT to bring that one up here!
ReplyDeleteMurph, the original owner is still around and told me to tell you he has seen your Blog =).
DeleteWhat are you replacing them with? Just curious...
ReplyDeleteBF Goodrich T/A radials in 215/70R/14. Coker Tire in TN.
DeleteBoy, does THAT bring back memories! And what Old NFO asked...
ReplyDeleteThanks! Coker Tire in TN has proper BF Goodrich T/A Radials in the correct size.
DeleteI was going to suggest that. They've pretty much become the go-to for all retro tires!
DeleteThat car is HAWT!
ReplyDeleteWhy thanks!
DeleteI was going to say to check Coker, but it seems you already knew about them.
ReplyDeleteThanks drjim!
