Anybody Got a Magazine for This?

It's a Femaru Model 37M. Or FEG 37M depending on how you look at it. In .32 ACP, with the German proof stamp. The magazine in it is stamped "MEXICO" and really does not do well and is incorrect. I'm looking for a repro or the the real thing. Tamera clued me in for a repro, but just got notification its back ordered.

Help?

  1. Triple K seems to have mags for it for sale:

I've found the Triple Ks to be OK as a replacement mag. Good luck.

  4. Here you go, an aftermarket replacement magazine, at much less money:
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/217880.htm. You could buy a few at this price. Of course, the original is much more preferable for collecting but as far as shooting goes, if these work, that would be excellent. They have them in both .32 Auto and .380 ACP. Numrich is a great source for firearms parts and accessories. Amazingly enough, they are still in New York.

  5. The model you have, according to the source at he below address, is not a Femaru 37M. It is a Femaru P37(u) made for the German armed forces of WWII by the Hungarians. In essence it is a Femaru 37M but changes were required by he German military contract. One of those changes was the addition of a manual safety which was lacking on the Femaru 37M but is present on the P 37(u). In addition, the caliber was changed to 7.65x17 Browning (.32 ACP). The markings were also different and yours seemingly has the P37 (u) markings. By the way, the pistol was also called a Frommer. More info here: http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/hu/femaru-37m-p37-u-e.html

    Nice find.

    All the best,

  6. Triple K has repros for about $40 - TripleK.com. The TripleK mags I've used before have all been great but YMMV.

  7. I guess my comment about Numrich did not go through. They have magazines for this pistol, aftermarket manufacture but much less expensive than the original one on GunBroker. If they work, at least you will have a shooter. See: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/217880.htm

Amazingly enough, one of the best gun parts and accessories dealers is still in NY state.

  9. I was going to suggest the Yugoslavian Model 70, but it might be too short.

That is a rare bird - I hope you find a magazine for it.
