So get to the place and examine this Revolver. The Colt Official Police was manufactured from 1927 to 1969 in .32-20, .41 Colt , .38 Special, and .22LR. It was offered in 2", 4", 5", and 6" barrel lengths. This specimen is nickel plated, but a blued version was also made. This one was made somewhere around 1939. Sigh... Another Historian letter. Click to well, you know on the pics.
This revolver showed holster wear as evidenced by the left grip and some weathering to the right hand side of the pistol that would be exposed to such. Other than that she locks up tight, little endshake. I could not get a feeler gauge larger than .0015 between the cylinder and the forcing cone! Barrel looks great, so does the crown of the barrel.
I'm glad she is here. Her older sister needs some company.
Police Positive in .32-20.
Maybe this will count to keep the tricked out name badge current!
Shoot her tomorrow and I will let you know how it goes. I will give her a bath too afterward.
There continues to be an urgency among people. Those that are not willing to wait for scheduled classes. I have several over the weekend. We shall see how it goes.
You'd really enjoy the Ohio Gun Collector's Association show every other month in Wilmington, Ohio near where we live...
ReplyDeleteYep, a lot of folks seem in a hurry to get training and permits here in the Buckeye state...
Dann in Ohio
Dann, I would love to get there sometime. As with all things it takes time. If I do I can not think of a better guide than you.
DeleteVery nice! Find a set of grips, and you've got a REALLY nice piece!
ReplyDeleteNFO, Go a line on some, wish me luck. Thanks!
DeleteYes, an urgency for sure. FPF Training has had record hits on the site and John has added classes.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful gun!
I saw that. People are not willing to wait anymore for my once a month classes.
DeleteThanks for the complement Agirl! I just wish it could talk and tell me its story.
On an aside, Keads, I was very glad to be carrying today...
ReplyDeleteI work for a lady as a home health care aide and she asked me to get her a burger from the dairy-ette a block away. I decided to walk rather than to drive a measly block, and some guy with a very poor command of English pulled over and kept trying to wave me into his car, saying, "You wanna go home?"
This was at noon! In front of a church!
I told the guy to get lost. I didn't have to pull my weapon, but it sure was nice to know I had it on me.
Brooke, its getting really stupid out there. It is always reassuring to know that you have one if you need one!
Deletevery nice! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteSaw a neat rifle out here in 32-20, that would make a cool companion. Good luck getting the grips, those are both great guns.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
