Yea!

Congratulations are in order for Mrs. Curmudgeon. She passed the written and live fire tests for a CCH permit!

Come to find out Mr. Curmudgeon made my job much easier with loading/unloading exercises with a semi auto and a revolver and the use of a laserlyte training cartridge with dry fire exercises on an M&P.

40 for 40 rounds on target at 3,5,and 7 yards. Woo-Hoo!

After qualification she wanted to shoot the M&P! 9 ring at 7 yds =)

Sorry about the photo, but my Blackberry camera well, uh sucks.

Congrats again Ma'am!

Oh, I did eat some great food too!

  5. Well done. I echo the other folks' approval of the gun choice.

I'm working with an 80-ish lady and her husband. Both are handgun virgins. She feels the need for a home protection piece. Right now they're handling and dry-firing my .357 snubbie, just to see how it feels. I'd rather have offered to loan something like a K-22, but I don't have one. The next step is up in the air, but if she thinks she might like this gun, I'll load up some near squibs and take them to the range. Who knows? She may shoot, yell "cool" and demand "real" ammunition. I mean, her personal car is a powder blue Jag roadster.

    1. Thanks Jim, it is a journey. It all depends on them in my opinion. She owns a Jag? Hmmmm..

    1. That was covered in awesome sauce! I am so proud of her! She was an adept student, wanted to know everything. She exceeded my expectations. I am so proud to serve in this capacity.

She will be at the Sheriffs Office tomorrow to apply for the permit. She is a driven and intelligent individual. That made it that much easier for me.

I have known her for some time. She observes, soft spoken, slow to anger, but when she does she is a force to be reckoned with.

I have learned a lot from her over the years.

I am so glad to do this for her!
