Wedding anniversary that is! In the great Lottery of Life I pulled the right numbers here. My Parents are celebrating 50 years together. I cannot say enough about what great parents, teachers, mentors, and friends they are to me to this day. They sacrificed much for me. Enjoy this day and I love y'all! (Click to enbiggen)
Added bonus on the pic, Jennifer asked on her Blog how you became a gunnie? Answer in pic! I wish I could find that shadow box on the wall now!
Congrats to them! And that looks suspiciously like an old Colt Navy 1851???
ReplyDeleteNFO- Just called them and the response I got was interesting! I had the location wrong on the picture by a State! Yeah it does look like a Old Colt! I am awaiting results from the official historian (Ma) on where that came from!

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing thing today. It's so uplifting to be able to have those types of role models.
@45er, LOL! Yeah pretty much like that!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes it is amazing.
Congrats to them, and you.
ReplyDeleteWe never realize how much our parents gave us, and put into raising us, until we have children of our own.
Then all that wisdom they tried to impress on us comes flooding out of our own mouths!
@drjim, Indeed!
ReplyDeleteAnd *our* kids ignore most of it, just as we did!
ReplyDeleteWow 50 Years! Congrats to your Parents!
ReplyDeleteOf course Ma's know everything~So whatever she says will be the right answer.
Congrats to your parents. It is so good to see that people still honor that whole til death do us part thing. It does my heart good.
ReplyDelete@Stop- Ma will be right I am sure! (unless Pop differs, LOL)
ReplyDelete@Six- Glad you are back and indeed you are correct. Good on them and I am extremely proud to be their son!
I'm late to the game... My elders celebrated 60th the very next day!
