New shooter on the line! I truly love this task. More than the monetary compensation. I am truly passionate about getting new shooters trained. So once again an old friend has been called unto the breech once more (incidentally with a equally storied human friend I have not seen since this gun was made almost). I have used it to teach several first time shooters. I love this little handgun!
This is a Smith and Wesson Model 34-1 .22/.32 kit gun revolver chambered for .22LR. According to Mr. Roy Jinks, Historian for S&W, this model and variants began in 1911. This handgun was shipped from the factory in the early '80's. Big hair and leg warmers optional! A really nice gun to shoot and a perfect one to learn with.
How old do you think your friend is? Much younger than this gun.I hope!I really like this gun, It looks perfect for a first time shooter and since you recommend it I'm sure it is! And I remember the big hair! Leg Warmers I remember but rather forget:)
ReplyDeleteNice gun. It is great to see old friends. Have fun!
ReplyDelete@stopsign- My friend is as old or young as they want to be!
ReplyDelete@Supi-Thanks! I most certainly will have fun!
Betting that old friend is wishing she could turn back time:)I'm so excited you posted this Thanks! It looks perfect!
ReplyDelete@stopsign- fine gun. It will serve well! Easy to shoot, big sights, low recoil. Now I just have to put it back together!
ReplyDeleteMake sure it stays together because you know your new shooter will have no idea how to do that! And I bet whomever it is! Is very happy that you are going to teach them :)Very Nice of you to take time out of your day to show a friend how to shoot!
ReplyDelete@stopsign- We know its you! Look forward to teaching you. The gun will stay together I promise!
ReplyDeleteNow how did you know that? Good Night! See you Saturday! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have so much fun with your new adventure and your students are lucky to have such a person to teach them!
ReplyDelete@ladyglock Thank you! I'm really looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteMr. Eads You go to bed early tonight! So you will be alert tomorrow...Believe me You will need to be! :)
ReplyDeleteI have one just like that. :)
ReplyDelete(Well, mine's considerably older, but otherwise it's the same.)
Not sure who stopsign is, but it sounds like Kelly has been helping a few of us new shooters out lately. Awesome -- that means that we all are getting trained by the best! I really did enjoy shooting with that gun, but enjoyed shooting with you more, Kelly; my dad did too. Thanks again.
ReplyDelete@Drbarrie- Thanks! It was a pleasure and I look forward to more range time with you and your Dad.
