So....

I'm checking in with my Blog friends. Sorry I have been away, I have a hard deadline at work in a month in addition to KJR (keeping the joint running).

However, when one lives in the Fortress of Solitude, diversions are one of the few pleasures. I traded my '13 Mustang (Alice) and got this Monday.

Complete with disco dash! I know my friend Murph will say it is all a waste as I only drive like a little old lady on the way to church, but hey. 

So what to name the new pony say you? Decorum prohibits me telling how the others got named and that protocol is no longer valid. I'm thinking Suzi. 

I'm still sorta here.

Sorry for the lack of content. It has been busy here. And for tomorrow a Concealed Carry Handgun class. It is an all day thing. I will be back soon. Ready to go for tomorrow.

Bowling Pins Shoot

I wandered north to Mr. and Mrs. Curmudgeon's lair yesterday to get in on some head to head pin shooting. Here is Mr. Curmudgeon on the line:


It is always good to see them and as always much food and laughter was to be had. Hey, I know some of these people =)

The HMS Prince of Wales

New to me but I'm sure not to some here I just read an analysis on the death of this British Warship. State of art for the time, lost with one torpedo hit. 

World powers were painfully figuring out that what was the preferred projection of power on the seas was dated and prone to aircraft attack without air cover. General Billy Mitchel proved this long before this happened. I guess institutional inertia prevented everyone from figuring this out until grievous loss of life and capitol ships.

I read this today. "A Re-Analysis of the Tragic Loss of HMS Prince of Wales."  

A torpedo hit at 1144 hours was fatal. At 1210, she hoisted the "Out of Control" signal.
